Biography

Dr. Diane Singer brings 25 years of experience in business and education to the marketing classroom. At IBM and AT&T, Diane served in sales and marketing leadership roles as a call center technologies and systems networking subject matter expert. Her work involved designing systems to serve companies like Apple, Avery Dennison, Hilton Hotels, Disney and Nintendo. Later, she took her knowledge of networking and systems integration forward as a consultant to local government on e911 technologies, and to business and education on training and workforce development projects.
Dr. Singer is active in the community supporting programs that improve learning outcomes for children and young adults. She served as the president of Kindercaminata, a charitable organization that introduces low-income kindergartners to the promise of higher education, served five years on the Orange Unified School District board of education and is currently on the executive board for Orange Children and Parents Together Head Start. She has been honored with the “Corazon Award for Excellence in Public Education”, a “Rising Woman in Technology” award, and with the “Woman Who Makes a Difference in Orange County” award.
Dr. Singer is also a certified online instructor, credentialed mentor teacher in sales, marketing and finance, and an accreditation evaluator for WSCUC. She holds a MA in Educational Technology, a MBA, and PhD from Claremont Graduate University.
