Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership and Business Administration



Dr. Edward De La Torre is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership and Business Administration at the UMass Global Irvine campus. Previously, Dr. De La Torre served as an adjunct lecturer in Management for California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). Professionally, he served as a Budget Analyst in higher education. Dr. De La Torre is an active researcher and writer. His primary areas of interest include the mediation of mindset and grit on individual health and wellness, the interplay of passion and perseverance on personal goal-setting, and the influence of cultural affinity groups on undergraduate student success. He earned his Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership at Brandman University, and his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business at California State University.
