This state-approved, autism specialist certificate is a 4-course, 12-unit program providing either a CTC-designated authorization to serve learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders or a Certificate of Completion.

Added Authorization, Early Childhood Special Education

Education

Accredited by the CTC, this Added Authorization, Early Childhood Special Education allows teachers with special education credentials to teach children up to age 5 with disabilities. ECSE programs can be administered in different settings, from school districts to regional centers, private childcare settings to family homes.

This CTC accredited program prepares candidates to become influential leaders within their school systems by working with students with disabilities in grades K-12 and adults up to age 22. There are definite financial advantages to getting a master’s degree. You have the ability to max out on the pay scale. Initially, this was a motivator for me, but once I got into my master’s program and saw how I could apply what I was learning in my classroom, it wasn’t about the money so much anymore.
