According to the National Education Association, 1 out of 4 children in classrooms across the nation will be an English language learner (ELL) student by 2025.*

In today’s classrooms, teachers are faced with the challenge of helping English learners meet the demands of grade-level content all while developing their language skills. By providing English learners high-quality instruction with additional linguistic support, we can improve students’ academic language and overall English proficiency. In this webinar, we will learn practical strategies that can be used to design instruction that amplifies language opportunities and ensures accessibility for English learners.

In this webinar you will:

  • Learn how to meaningfully integrate speaking and listening activities into content-area lessons.
  • Gain strategies on how to teach your EL students to write about what they are learning.
  • Understand how your room environment can support language development.
  • Explore various scaffolds to support EL students through challenging text.
