Chancellor's message to Disney Aspire students

Chancellor Gary Brahm sent this message to Disney Aspire students on October 2 following news reports of layoffs affecting employees of the The Walt Disney Co.

Dear Disney Student,

We are reaching out to assure you that Brandman University is very proud of the tremendous tenacity you have displayed since the coronavirus pandemic began. We know it is not easy to go to school while also worrying about your employment status. Earlier this week, several students expressed heightened concerns about their ability to remain focused on their studies due to Disney’s recent announcement. Your resilience to date shows us you are here for a reason and that you have what it takes to achieve your higher education goals.

Should you experience any doubt about your ability to succeed, please reach out to your faculty and academic advisor immediately. They are here to help you and can connect you to additional resources and opportunities to bolster your academic progress. At Brandman University, we remain committed to your success as a student regardless of your employment situation. By working together, we are confident you will succeed.
