Brandman University webinar to provide “The Ultimate Guide to Working Virtually” for people working at home during coronavirus shutdowns

April 04, 2020

The following content first appeared on the news page while UMass Global operated under its former name of Brandman University.

IRVINE, Calif. (April 4, 2020) – Brandman University and School of Extended Education instructor Lizz Pellet will present a new webinar to help professionals who are adapting to remote work arrangements while emergency health precautions are requiring many Americans to work from home.

Pellet’s webinar, “The Ultimate Guide to Working Virtually,” is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon PDT on Wednesday, April 8. Registration is free of charge and available here.

This is the second webinar Pellet will deliver for Brandman to help professionals keep up healthy work habits while the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, disrupts traditional methods of doing business. In this webinar, she plans to help viewers preserve their abilities to focus and engage with their work.

“This situation has created both anxiety and freedom for people so how they process this new normal can manifest behaviors that they may not have experienced before,” Pellet said. “There are going to be distractions and disruptions to the average workday, whether they have other people in the house or not. The webinar will help them identify strategies to stay focused, engaged, and productive."

Pellet’s previous webinar, “Managing a Virtual Workforce,” is archived online. More than 1,000 viewers watched the webinar during its initial webcast.

“We don’t know how long the coronavirus will change the way we live and work, but we hope our webinars will help viewers continue to be successful in their professional lives while they adjust to current circumstances,” Chancellor Gary Brahm said. “Many people are highly-productive while working remotely, but it helps to have an expert guide you through the transition from the office to virtual workspaces.”
