University alumna expected to serve as West Hills College Coalinga's next president

University alumna Carla Tweed is West Hills College Coalinga’s choice for its next president, according to a Dec. 8 announcement from the community college. Members of the West Hills Community College District Board of Trustees are scheduled to vote on confirming her appointment during their Dec. 14 meeting.

“I am humbled and incredibly honored to serve as the next President at West Hills College Coalinga,” Tweed said in the announcement. “I am excited to be coming back to the Central Valley and to the community that I call home.  West Hills is where I began my education and I am committed to advancing the district's goals of the relentless pursuit of student success, diversity, and inclusion.”

Tweed has also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Services for Yuba College. She earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership in 2018.
