Dr. Jessica Bogunovich joins the School of Education as an Associate Faculty member specializing in Mathematics. Jessica has over 17 years experience in education, with over 10 years in higher education and 13 years in K-12. Jessica held many roles in her time as a K-12 educator, such as curriculum specialist, professional development provider, various administrative positions, and BTSA teacher mentor. Jessica holds a Doctorate of Education in Education Leadership; a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction; a Master’s degree in Psychology focusing on Mental and Behavioral Health; and a Bachelor of Science in Education and Teaching Mathematics degree.

Dr. Bogunovich has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Teaching Mathematics Supplementary Credential, a Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) Credential, and an Administration Credential. She specializes in teaching at-risk students, English language learners, and math/science/STEM/STEAM. She was a Full Time Faculty member at the University of Phoenix for the past 5 years, where she taught at-risk first year students in the areas of Critical Thinking and Introduction to Psychology. She also served as a faculty mentor, curriculum designer, and served on various committees, such as the Assessment and Institutional Research Committee.

Jessica enjoys volunteering for the local school district’s STEM/STEAM program, writing research articles relating to effective instruction for English learners, and creating teacher-made materials for other educators. She has a husband, 3 daughters, a granddaughter, and a 3-pound, 7-year-old Chihuahua named Mocha.
