Biography

Sasha Crowley, Ed.D is as an Assistant Professor for the School of Education in the Single Subject Credential program. Sasha has over 15 years of education, with six years in higher education and nine years in K-12 as a high school English teacher.

Sasha began her professional career as an English Teacher at Northwood High School in Irvine Unified, where she was awarded the Teacher of Excellence Award during her 9 years there. She served as an Adjunct Faculty in the School of Extended Education, teaching online courses for K-12 educators in such areas as Brain-Based Teaching, Learning Styles in the Classroom and Media Literacy. Sasha also taught Humanities in the Digital Age for the School of Arts and Sciences at the Irvine campus.

Sasha also served as Lead Instructional Designer in UMass Global’s Center for Instructional Innovation (CII), where she collaborated with faculty to create dynamic, highly engaging courses since 2013. She is extremely well-versed in Instructional Design for the Engaged Adult Learner (IDEAL), Quality Matters, and the effective integration of technology in course design, including Zoom, Blackboard, Google Suite, Screencast-O-Matic, and Kaltura.

Sasha has a BA in English from Azusa Pacific University, her MAT and her Single Subject English Credential (CLAD Emphasis) from UC Irvine, and her Multiple Subject Authorization from UC San Diego. She earned her Ed.D. at Brandman University (now UMass Global).
