Apply for Aid: Step-by-Step FAFSA Guide

  1. Create a FSA ID on the FAFSA website
  2. Complete your FAFSA — this application gives you access to federal financial aid programs, including grants and work-study.
  3. Use UMass Global’s Federal School Code: 041618 - UMass Global (California)
  4. Respond promptly if selected for verification — the federal government may ask for documents like tax transcripts. Timely responses help avoid delays in processing your aid. Check out FAQ's for Verification

California residents who are undergraduates are urged to complete the FAFSA by the March 2nd deadline to qualify for Cal Grant
