"I selected to move in the direction of psychology and marriage and family therapy when I completed an internship in a law firm. I noticed that it was less about helping and assisting and understanding the challenges that the families are going through, and more about what laws are violated and how we can create the safest environment for children and families and then make a referral out to different sources. I wanted to be a referral source."

- Dr. Isa Ribadu, LMFT, UMass Global Dean of the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Psychology
