Accreditation can also make a real difference when it comes to transferring credits, qualifying for financial aid, and even landing a job—many employers prefer or require degrees from accredited institutions.

Regional Accreditation

WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)

University of Massachusetts Global is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). The WASC Senior College and University Commission is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as certifying institutional eligibility for federal funding in a number of programs, including student access to federal financial aid. All programs offered by University of Massachusetts Global are encompassed by this regional accreditation.

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

The Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree programs at University of Massachusetts Global are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (https://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)

University of Massachusetts Global's Bachelor of Arts of Social Work and Master in Social Work are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA).

Accreditation of a baccalaureate or master’s social work program by the BOA indicates that it meets or exceeds standards of program quality evaluated through a peer review accreditation process. An accredited program has sufficient resources to meet its mission and goals and the BOA has verified that it demonstrates compliance with all sections of the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).

Accreditation applies to all program options, which includes locations and delivery methods.

Accreditation provides reasonable assurance about the quality of the program and the competence of students graduating from the program.
