Georgina Yoshioka Mora
Dr. Georgina Yoshioka Mora (Dr. Mora) is a Doctor of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California since 2003, educator, and behavioral health executive with more than 30 years of clinical, leadership, and teaching experience in public and nonprofit behavioral health systems. Since 2002, she has taught sociology and social work courses at the community college, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Prior to her executive leadership roles with the County of San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health, Dr. Mora spent more than 12 years in nonprofit behavioral health organizations serving children, youth, adults, and families in both clinical and leadership roles. Her experience includes mental health, substance use disorder, HIV/AIDS, forensic, correctional, and community-based behavioral health services, with responsibilities spanning direct clinical services, clinical supervision, program development, and administrative leadership.
Dr. Mora retired from the County of San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health after nearly 18 years of service, including executive leadership roles as Director and Deputy Director. During her tenure, she oversaw behavioral health programs, crisis services, forensic mental health systems, quality improvement initiatives, program development and evaluation, fiscal administration, and systemwide operations serving diverse communities throughout the region.
Her areas of expertise include forensic social work, co-occurring disorders, behavioral health leadership, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, program development and evaluation, social justice and advocacy, and community collaboration. Dr. Mora is committed to supporting adult learners and social work professionals in developing the knowledge, skills, and leadership capacities needed to advance equitable, evidence-informed practice and meaningful systems change.
