  • Transfer Credit is for college courses you completed at another school.
  • Credit for Prior Learning is for learning completed outside a college class, such as military training, professional certifications, exams, or approved training programs.

A Transfer Guide shows how courses from a specific community college may fit into a specific UMass Global degree program.

The Course Articulation Database (CAD) helps you look up one course at a time. It shows available course equivalents and may show general education or elective credit. It does not show a full degree plan.

Apply to UMass Global—it’s free. When you apply, submit your transcripts. You can use unofficial transcripts to begin the process.

After you apply, UMass Global will evaluate your transcripts and let you know how eligible transfer credit may apply to your degree.
