Massachusetts Community College Transfer Program

We are proud to accept MassTransfer Gen Ed Foundation courses for transfer credit to University of Massachusetts Global. Students who are studying at a Massachusetts Community College may be eligible for a program called MassTransfer Gen Ed Foundation. These credits, when completed together with a 2.0 or higher GPA, fully transfer to UMass Global and may satisfy the general education degree requirements — even if you don’t have your associate degree.

General Education Block Transfer

Perhaps you’ve completed your general education at one or more colleges, and now you want to consolidate all those credits and apply them toward your four-year degree. UMass Global accepts a wide variety of GE credit transfers if they are completed before attending your first UMass Global class:

  • In California, we accept CSU or UC IGETC certification
  • In Massachusetts, we accept the MassTransfer Gen Ed Foundation courses in transfer
  • In Washington, we accept state-approved Direct Transfer degrees
  • In Oregon, we accept transfer credits
  • In all other states, we accept equivalent transfer certifications
