Overview

Securing Networks with Firewalls provides students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue entry-level careers as security specialists. This hands-on, career-focused e-learning course emphasizes real-world experience and builds a deep understanding of network security principles, along with the tools and configurations used to secure network infrastructures.

As part of a two-course program, this course prepares students to sit for the Cisco CCNP Security Certification exam. Students engage in a variety of hands-on labs, including procedural and troubleshooting exercises, skills integration challenges, and model-building projects. All labs can be completed using Cisco Packet Tracer. Most chapters feature cumulative Packet Tracer-based challenges to reinforce learning and skill development.
