Kelly Gump
Kelly Gump serves as Associate Dean for the School of Business and Professional Studies at UMass Global. She brings more than two decades of experience in higher education, online learning, curriculum development, and academic leadership, with a career focused on expanding access to quality education for adult and nontraditional learners.
Prior to joining UMass Global, Gump spent more than a decade at Southern New Hampshire University, where she held faculty and leadership roles supporting competency-based education and online programs. As Associate Dean for Competency-Based Education, she led faculty teams, large-scale curriculum redevelopment initiatives, academic operations, and assessment quality efforts serving diverse learner populations. Her work emphasized accessibility, inclusive learning design, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making to improve student outcomes.
Gump's extensive experience includes online program administration, instructional design, faculty mentoring, curriculum development, and learning management system implementation. She has presented on topics including professional communication, learner engagement, community building, and effective practices in online education. She remains committed to fostering innovative, student-centered learning environments that prepare learners for academic, professional, and personal success.
