Biography

Dr. Haidy Willis is a ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has over 25 years of experience in mental health/ behavioral health care in child, adult, inpatient, outpatient, forensic and tele psychiatry. She received her DNP degree from the University of Massachusetts Global formerly known as Brandman University in 2017. Her Master’s degree and PMHNP certification she received from California State University Long Beach in 2012. Professionally, along with being an assistant professor and director of the PMHNP program at University of Massachusetts Global, she also serves as a DNP Clinical Scholarly Project Chair for several DNP students. She is the co-owner of Behavioral Health Solutions PLLC, providing telepsychiatry services to residents of Kentucky. She also provides telepsychiatry services as a contractor to residents in California. Additionally, she is a freelance peer reviewer for the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice, since 2017. In her free time, Dr. Willis enjoys camping, quilting, cooking, traveling, reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her family. Dr. Willis’ professional and personal philosophy is best summarized by the quote of the Dalai Lama, “Our Prime purpose in life is to help others. And if you can’t help them at least do not hurt them.”
