Jeannine Meza joins the School of Arts & Sciences as Assistant Professor of Social Work and Assistant Director of Field Education. Most recently, she served as Fulltime Faculty in Social Work and Title IV-E Field Coordinator at California State University, San Bernardino from 2012-2018. She received the “Most Inspiring Professor” award in 2015 and “Most Outstanding Faculty Member” award in 2016 from the CSUSB Social Work Student Association.

She has been in social work since 2000, working primarily in child welfare, child and adolescent mental health, juvenile justice, and school social work settings. She has served as a field instructor and supervisor since 2006. Her professional experience includes service as Supervising Social Worker for the California Institute of Health and Social Services (San Bernardino) and as Therapist for the Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center (Inglewood).

Professor Meza earned her M.S.W. at the University of Southern California and her B.A. in Psychology at UCLA. Her appointment is at the Online campus.
