Dr. Kat Ringenbach started as an adjunct with Chapman University College (now University of Massachusetts Global) in 1993 and became a full time faculty in 2002.She has been involved in several UMass Global initiatives, including authoring content for the Competency Based Education program.She has developed 13 courses in the psychology curriculum.Dr. Ringenbach has consulting experience in the areas of creating selection and promotion tests, authoring survey instruments, writing statistical manuals for a personality measures, developing job performance measurements, examining workplace safety, and measuring workplace attitudes.She has presented or published on the following topics:feedback in the classroom, assessment of student learning, competency based education,perceptions of pregnant women in the workplace, job analysis, age stereotypes, time urgency, psychological burn out, behavioral management training in nursing homes, motivation, job performance measurement, rating errors, and job knowledge.She currently has research interests in transformational mentoring, how the Golden Rule is displayed in children’s television programs, and how media portrays partner/spouse violence.
