Program Overview

The Survival Spanish course is designed to provide basic Spanish communication skills and an understanding of Latino culture for health professionals. No previous Spanish language experience is required.

As a student, you will:

  • Learn the demographics, history, gender dynamics and other important aspects of Latino culture to better understand the unique challenges and experience of the population.
  • Understand and use basic phrases and vocabulary to facilitate conversations between healthcare professionals and their patients.
