Dr. DeLong Hamilton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and is a certified Infant Mental Health Specialist through the Harris Institute. She has worked in the social work field for over 25 years and has experience in child welfare, adoptions, medical, and psychiatric social work. She worked in private practice as a psychotherapist specializing in family and childhood problems prior to moving into higher education full time. Dr. DeLong Hamilton has been a clinical supervisor for social work interns and newly licensed social workers.  She has managed teams of mentors, case managers and clinical social workers in her own psychotherapy practice and in non-profit agencies.  She has led research teams and managed grants.  Dr. DeLong Hamilton is a member of SWEAP, an organization which works to conceptualize and develop assessment instruments for social work program evaluation. She has served in a variety of capacities on the team and is currently the CEO. Dr. DeLong Hamilton has completed research, written, and published in child welfare and social work education assessment. Dr. DeLong Hamilton developed the fully online MSW program at UMass Global and achieved initial accreditation for the program.  She has experience training colleagues to work in the online environment, has developed a variety of online courses as a subject matter expert, has developed online training programs for faculty and has worked closely with course design teams to create courses, and record podcasts, training videos and lectures.
