About University of Massachusetts Global
University of Massachusetts Global, a nonprofit affiliate of the University of Massachusetts system, has been educating military students for over 65 years. We trace our origins back to 1958 when our professors (we were then Chapman College) first delivered on-base classes to members of the military serving at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in Orange County, California. Today UMass Global proudly continues this tradition. We have nearly 1,900 active-duty military members, reservists, veterans, and dependents enrolled in our 80+ degree, certificate, and credential programs. With six sessions starting every eight weeks, UMass Global offers a year-round academic schedule tailored to meet the needs of busy adult students.
Our 100% online format blends into the busy lives of our adult military students. University of Massachusetts Global is accredited by, and a member of, the WSCUC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
