Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) involves complex dynamics that can profoundly affect survivor mental health. In this webinar, behavioral health professionals will deepen their understanding of IPV’s psychological impact and explore evidence-based clinical interventions grounded in trauma-informed care, safety planning, and culturally responsive practices. Participants will examine key ethical considerations, including mandatory reporting, confidentiality, and , and informed consent. Through case scenarios and practical applications, participants will strengthen their skills in assessment, clinical intervention, and ethical decision-making when working with clients affected by IPV.
In this webinar participants will:
-Recognize the complex dynamics of IPV and its impacts on survivors with intersecting identities, including race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and ability, within diverse social and cultural contexts.
-Apply evidence-based clinical interventions to support clients who have experienced or are currently experiencing IPV, with an emphasis on safety planning and trauma recovery.
-Using case scenarios, evaluate ethical considerations in IPV-related clinical practice, including mandatory reporting, confidentiality, documentation, and informed consent.
