“The most important thing people did for me was to expose me to new things.” – Temple Grandin

There is a common misconception that many of the practices being used in today’s classrooms serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are supported by evidence, yet this is not always the case. Ensuring that teaching practices are grounded in actual evidence is essential, not only for improving student outcomes, but also for maintaining compliance with special education law. In this webinar, participants will gain a clear overview of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) for supporting students with ASD, including how to appropriately select them and how to use progress monitoring to ensure meaningful growth.

In this webinar you will:
-Develop an understanding of how a practice becomes “evidence-based” and why this designation matters.
-Learn the process for determining whether an intervention, practice, program, or strategy qualifies as an EBP for students with ASD.
-Explore how selecting and implementing EBPs with fidelity is directly connected to effective progress monitoring.
