Graduating international students who plan to attend commencement must register on the Tassel website using the link on this page to obtain their Stage Pass, reserve guest tickets, and confirm name pronunciation. All steps must be completed within the designated registration window in order to participate in the ceremony.
Registration on the Tassel site will be available for a limited period only:
Monday, April 13 at 1:00 AM PT through Tuesday, April 14 at 5:00 PM PT
Important: The times listed above are in Pacific Time (PT). Please be sure to convert these times to your local time zone. For example:
- India: Monday, April 13 at 1:30 PM IST through Wednesday, April 15 at 5:30 AM IST
We strongly encourage you to save this registration window to your calendar and complete your registration as early as possible within the window to ensure your participation in the ceremony.
Access is strictly limited to this window. There will be no early access, no late access, no extensions, and no re-dos.
What You Must Complete During This Window
During the registration period, you must complete all of the following steps:
1) Record Your Name Pronunciation
- You will hear a recording of your name to approve.
- If you do not like the provided recording options, you can submit an audio pronunciation of your name.
- This recording determines how your name will be announced on stage during the ceremony.
- Recordings cannot be edited or re-recorded after submission.
2) Reserve Guest Tickets
- You will reserve tickets for your guests attending the ceremony in person.
- Guest tickets are required for venue entry and can only be reserved during this window.
3) Secure Your Stage Pass (Required for Check-In and Stage Access)
- Completing the Tassel registration allows you to receive your Graduate Stage Pass.
- The Stage Pass includes a unique QR code that is assigned to you only and cannot be shared or duplicated.
4) Share any physical accommodation needs for yourself or your guests
- For example, wheelchair seating, deaf or hearing impaired, etc.
The Stage Pass serves as:
- Your admission credential for the ceremony.
- Your reader card when crossing the stage.
- Students without a Stage Pass will not be permitted to cross the stage.
What Happens If You Are Unable to Complete This Step?
If you are unable to reserve your tickets within the registration window, please contact the Emeritus team at least one day in advance for assistance. They may be able to help you secure your tickets or provide alternative options.
