Yes. UMass Global awards transfer credit for military experience and training using American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines.
For undergraduate programs, students receive 6 credits for military service, with the opportunity to earn additional credits based on ACE recommendations for military coursework and training. These credits may apply toward your general education, major, or emphasis area depending on eligibility.
For select graduate programs (including MAOL, MS in Human Resources, Master of Healthcare Administration, and Master of GIS and Data Analytics), eligible service members may receive up to 6 transfer credits for military schooling. This benefit is available to qualified Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, retired, and prior service members who meet rank and training requirements.
To maximize your transfer credit, UMass Global evaluates your Joint Services Transcript (JST) or equivalent military records during the admissions process.
