Sibyl Beaulieu earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Oakwood College in 1991 and Master of Social Work from Loma Linda University in 1995. She has a dual practice focus of clinical social work and child welfare. She earned her Doctor of Social Work from University of St. Thomas in 2020 where her dissertation focused on how the training of field administrators within the Academy coincided with two NASW ethical standards.

Sibyl’s practice experience spans several different areas including child welfare practice; macro practice as a consultant, educator and trainer for both the States of Alabama and Tennessee; social work education as faculty with University of Massachusetts Global and La Sierra University; adjunct instructor for Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama as a macro practitioner; and a geriatric clinician with Jackson County Mental Health in Alabama. She also served as a Program Director with Family Services Center in Huntsville, Alabama for the Both Parents Supervised Visitation Program. This position included expertise as a parenting and visitation mediation specialist. Her social work teaching focus is social welfare policy, child abuse, and field education pedagogy development and implementation.

Sibyl is a lover of jazz and gospel music and has been singing since the age of 5. She collects antique furniture, enjoys home decorating, traveling, cooking global foods and is a dedicated cat parent to Samuel L. Jackson.
