Applicants for this program must complete the formal application process and submit required documents. Documents required vary based on the number of transferable credits and include:

0 – 11 TRANSFERABLE CREDITS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Official high school transcript indicating the date of graduation
  • Provide official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended
  • Take LBSU 100 (Student Success Strategies) during their first session to build a solid foundation for college success.

12 OR MORE TRANSFERABLE CREDITS

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Provide official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended

Active military?

Admissibility and minimum transfer credit awarded will be determined based on the Community College of the Air Force, SMART, AARTS, or JST transcripts.

Certified Wellness Coach II

A Certified Wellness Coach is part of California’s state-certified behavioral health workforce. Wellness Coaches provide non-clinical support for children and youth, including wellness education, care coordination, individual and group support, and crisis referral.

UMass Global’s Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Wellness Coach II emphasis is an HCAI-designated education pathway. By completing the required coursework and youth-focused fieldwork, graduates meet the education requirements to apply for Certified Wellness Coach certification after graduation.

Yes. By choosing the Wellness Coach II emphasis within the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work program, you can complete the required coursework and fieldwork as part of your degree plan. No separate program or additional tuition is required.

After completing your degree and the pathway requirements, you may apply to HCAI for Certified Wellness Coach certification. Certification is not automatic and requires an approved application.
