Course Overview

Consequences are most effective when they are timely, consistent, and clearly connected to the behavior. This course emphasizes the capstone component of the Refocus strategy, highlighting the importance of delivering accurate and immediate consequences to address misbehavior effectively. Educators will learn how to reduce the need for multiple warnings and repeated requests—common challenges that often undermine classroom authority and consistency. Central to this course is the Time To Teach classroom management model, an evidence-based, research-supported approach that is both practical and easy to implement. Designed by educators for educators, this model equips teachers with ready-to-use strategies that promote respectful behavior, minimize disruptions, and create a focused, positive learning environment.
