“1 in 36 children in the U.S. is identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder” (CDC, 2024).
Autism is not the absence of ability, it is the presence of a superpower. Many autistic individuals have the ability to master and create in ways the rest of society overlooks. In this webinar, participants will explore autism through a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens that challenges stigma, clarifies diagnosis and symptoms, and highlights practical, whole-person strategies to support individuals and their caregivers across the lifespan. Walk away with strategies for identifying, diagnosing, and treating clients on the spectrum.
In this webinar participants will:
-Examine common myths and stigmas of autism and how diagnosis occurs across the lifespan.
-Identify core characteristics and recognize the unique strengths and “superpowers” of autistic individuals.
-Review evidence-informed modalities and treatment approaches including behavioral, educational, and therapeutic supports.
-Explore practical strategies for self-care, caregiver resilience, and accessing respite and community resources.
