AA in General Business

The UMass Global MyPath Associate of Arts (AA) in General Business focuses on career-building competencies to broaden your knowledge and provide a foundation for future bachelor's level study, should the student continue on. In this MyPath program, you will work at your own pace, displaying mastery of each competency before moving on to the next. There are no set schedules — you decide when you can work on your courses. And since MyPath programs charge a set fee for a six-month period, you can accelerate your progress by completing as many courses as possible within that time.

This is an associate of arts degree, but it adds a business emphasis to the broad-based foundational coursework.

  • Explore business in core courses and the General Business Emphasis, which is equivalent to 9 credits, and allows you to take three courses from any business discipline (i.e. Finance, Accounting, etc.).
  • This AA in General Business program is designed with input by business leaders.
  • Utilizes ever-evolving curriculum and award-winning competency-based technology.
  • All books and reading materials are included in your MyPath fees.

Testimonials

Alex Meyers UMass Global

MyPath is designed for those of us who work 40 hours a week, and some, that are raising families, and want the flexibility and the control that it gives you.

Alex M.
Business Administartion (MyPath), BBA

Seeing 3 friends/co-workers graduate last May with their MBA's got me thinking. All 3 are married with young children and have jobs at least as demanding as mine. I am single with grown children. What was my excuse?

Current Student
Organizational Leadership (MyPath), MA

The courses are designed to allow me to apply the knowledge immediately. The assignments often support initiatives I am working on within my job such as public speaking and written communication, which allows me to demonstrate my career development improvements.

Business Administartion (MyPath), BBA

In some of the early competencies (Strategies, Marketing, etc.) I sailed through a lot of the coursework because it was material that I already use in my workplace.
