This online graduate certificate is an application-oriented program where students explore the latest technology and tools to more effectively engage with today's learners. Online coursework aligns with ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards. Designed to boost your skills with modern educational technology, this 12-credit certificate is offered twice yearly to enhance your teaching and provide career advancement opportunities. The program is aimed at a wide variety of educational professionals: pre-K-12 teachers, postsecondary teachers, teacher candidates, school administrators, technology coordinators, instructional coaches, librarians, and instructional practitioner leaders.

  • Learn how to employ best practices and 21st century educational models to examine, experiment, and assess the efficacy of online and blended teaching methods.
  • Learn how to use today’s technology and tools to engage students, build community, and make use of multiple forms of communication, including social media, to promote achievement.
  • Develop ways to evaluate and create effective online assessments and design learner-centered, project-based assignments and assessments that meet academic standards.
  • Examine relevant laws and regulations along with evaluating tools and strategies to build media and assure ADA accessibility for all students.

Applicants for this graduate certificate must complete the formal application process with all required documents, which include:

  • Completed application
  • 2.75 grade point average (GPA)
  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions where baccalaureate and/or post-baccalaureate coursework was completed or attempted
