UMass Global is pleased to unveil a new transfer credit policy for the Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership, designed to recognize the prior achievements of aspiring educational leaders. Starting this term, students with a master’s degree and/or an active California Clear Administrative Services Credential (CASC) can transfer up to 12 credits toward the Ed.D. UMass Global alumni who hold both a master’s and an active CASC are eligible to satisfy up to 15 credits.
This policy means substantial savings and a direct pathway to career advancement for dedicated professionals. Upon completion of the Clear Administrative Services Credential program — whether earned through UMass Global or another regionally accredited institution — 6 credits can be applied to the doctoral program. Candidates who hold a master’s degree from UMass Global or Brandman University will have 9 credits satisfied. Any master’s degree from UMass Global, such as an MBA, qualifies for this transfer benefit.
In total, prospective students holding an outside master’s degree and an active CASC can transfer up to a maximum of 12 credits. Candidates with both a UMass Global master’s degree and an active CASC can satisfy up to 15 credits, representing a savings of several thousand dollars. (Ed.D. tuition is $1,110 per credit.)
This announcement underscores UMass Global’s commitment to workplace relevance, adult learner support, and innovative education pathways. As the second-largest issuer of new teaching credentials in California, UMass Global continues to build on a legacy of leadership in educator training.
