Next Steps

An education is a significant investment in your future. At UMass Global, we want every student to prosper and have the right financial support they need during this important time in their lives.

You've Earned It

An education is a significant investment in your future. At UMass Global, we want every student to prosper and have the right financial support they need during this important time in their lives. Financial aid may be available for degree‐seeking students who qualify.
There are many different kinds of financial aid including need‐based and non‐need‐based grants, loans, and scholarships. To establish eligibility for financial aid, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form must be completed by the student for each year that financial aid is requested. UMass Global offers reduced tuition for active duty military, their spouses and family members.

Next Steps:

  • Tuition Assistance (TA) is handled differently with each branch of the service

    • All active duty, which includes Reserve and National Guard, must contact their (Education Service Officer) ESO, or Education counselor, within their own branch of service prior to enrolling in any college or university
    • Air Force students need to register for courses and apply for TA through the Air Force Virtual Education Center https://www.my.af.mil/faf/FAF/fafHome.jsp
    • Army students need to register for courses with University of Massachusetts Global. Enrollment information will be sent to ArmyIgnitED https://www.armyignited.com/app/. Students will request TA in ArmyIgnitED https://www.armyignited.com/app/.
    • Students in the Navy, Coast Guard or Marine need to contact their Education Center to request a TA form

A signed TA form needs to be submitted to your campus One Stop staff for processing.
