In this webinar, you'll learn about the functions of behavior and how to determine appropriate replacement behaviors. You'll also learn the behavior cycle, how to motivate students using effective reinforcement schedules, and how to de-escalate undesirable behaviors. These are core foundations for autism education.

Our expert today is Dr. Paulette Koss. Dr. Koss was a special education teacher who taught students grades K through 12 for almost 20 years before becoming a school site principal. She was the principal of the Los Angeles County Office of Education's Road to Success Academy, where she facilitated SPED strategies and project-based learning curriculum. She has served as a special education director and as a special education consultant for district and charter schools. Dr. Koss currently serves on doctoral dissertation committees and is an adjunct instructor in special education at UMass Global.
