Eligibility and Participation
Eligibility
To be eligible for participation in summer commencement, the student's official degree audit must indicate that the student is on course to satisfactorily complete all degree requirements by the end of Summer Session II of that year or sooner. This is verified by the academic advisor and indicated by the expected graduation date on the student's degree audit.
For future ceremony dates, please check back for the eligibility information specific to your ceremony in 2025.
Steps to Participate in Commencement
Participation in the commencement ceremony involves a two-step process.
Student submits the Commencement Interest form by February 28*.
Student submits Registration form via Marching Order website.
In mid-March, students with an approved Commencement Interest form on file will receive an email invitation to their university email account to complete their Registration form on the Marching Order website to RSVP and secure guest tickets.
*Students who submit a Commencement Interest form for our Summer 2024 ceremonies after February 28 will not have their name in the printed program.
Grad Checklist
- Complete the Commencement Interest form via MyUMassGlobal by February 28, 2024.
- Order your regalia before the deadline specific to your ceremony.
- Open your regalia package to make sure all items were delivered properly.
- RSVP yourself and your guests for tickets in mid-March 2024.
- Watch the regalia video to know how to wear your regalia.
- The week of the ceremony, print your grad ticket and send your guests their tickets to print.
- On the day of your ceremony, arrive early for parking, walking, security, and student lineup.
