Brad Damon
Brad Damon is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at University of Massachusetts Global. His primary focus is ensuring that all programs leading to licensure to work in a California public school meet the most current standards and regulations set forth by the state. With extensive experience as a Board Institutional Reviewer and Site Team Lead for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and serving on numerous accreditation teams, Brad is dedicated to maintaining the highest academic standards.
Before joining University of Massachusetts Global, Brad spent 23 years at National University, where his expertise in team building and excellence earned him key leadership roles across four departments: Academics, University Operations, Admissions, and Enrollment Management.
In addition to his extensive experience, Brad holds multiple certifications, including Law and Higher Education Policy from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and Strategic Workforce Planning from the Human Capital Institute (HCI). He also a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, an MBA, an MA in Counseling Psychology, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Systems Thinking.

Directing a staff of 40 including 8 direct reports spanning 26 campuses in the enforcement of state and university program standards; development and implementation of strategic objectives. Assessing industry, university, and customer needs in order to develop & implement vision and direction for Credential Department staff. Assisting in the adjudication of student issues in credentialing and field student teaching placement. Working in collaboration with the Vice President of Student Affairs and School of Education Dean and Department Chairs in problem solving complex issues. Creating and managing systems to assess the quality and efficiency of credential student services. Developing, executing and overseeing Credential Department administrative processes, student orientations, technical interfaces/systems, and program advisement. Managing the department’s annual operating budget.
