MyPath: Self-Paced Learning, Full Student Support

UMass Global MyPath is a fully online, competency-based education (CBE) format that lets you work at your own pace, showing mastery of each course before moving ahead, so prior education, work experience, training, or certificates can help you progress faster toward your degree. With no set class meeting times or fixed assignment deadlines, you organize your study schedule around your life while still meeting clear academic standards.

Even though MyPath is self-paced, you have access to the same experienced support network as students in our instructor-led courses, including enrollment coaches, academic advisors, and one-stop specialists who monitor your progress and are available when you need help. With MyPath, It's Up to You

UMass Global’s MyPath is competency-based education (CBE). MyPath courses are completely self-paced. You can work through your coursework on your schedule, without set deadlines. When you show “competency,” you pass that section and move on to the next. Beyond the lack of a set schedule for lectures and coursework submissions, MyPath also rewards you for areas where you already have knowledge, whether from prior courses, work experience, training, or earned certificates. You can move through those sections more quickly, speeding your degree completion.
