Earning a degree in any field requires hard work, dedication, and commitment, but business administration degrees can be particularly challenging because they require students to learn a variety of topics across multiple disciplines. You'll need to be proficient in accounting, finance, marketing, management, and entrepreneurship to name a few.

It's important to stay organized and prepared when working towards a BBA degree. It’s important to get an early start on assignments and test preparation, especially if you’re working full time.

At UMass Global, we provide support for your entire journey, from your Enrollment Coach helping you get enrolled and ready for your first course, to your Academic Advisor then stepping in to take through graduation with your BBA. We also offer tutoring, tech support, and technology training.

Whether a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from UMass Global is a good choice for you depends on your individual goals, interests, and circumstances. Here are three areas to consider when deciding if a BBA is a good degree for you:

Career goals. A BBA degree can open doors to various career opportunities in business and management, including roles in marketing, finance, human resources, entrepreneurship, and more. If you’re interested in these fields, a BBA can provide entry.

Valuable skills. The UMass Global BBA program covers a broad range of business topics, equipping you with skills in areas such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and data analysis, which are valuable in many professions.

Options. Our BBA degree is versatile, allowing you to explore different aspects of business. You can customize your degree by selecting electives that align to a specific career path you are interested in. Plus, we offer the BBA in two online learning styles: Instructor-Paced or Self-Paced.

Ultimately, the decision to pursue a BBA degree at UMass Global should be based on your individual circumstances and aspirations. This is a broad-based degree that can lead to many different career options.

With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, you can explore diverse career paths. Some common career options include:

  • Business Analyst: Analyzing data, identifying trends, and making informed business recommendations
  • Marketing Manager: Planning and executing marketing strategies to promote products or services
  • Human Resources Manager: Overseeing employee recruitment, training, performance management, and organizational development
  • Financial Analyst: Evaluating financial data, conducting investment research, and providing financial guidance
  • Operations Manager: Optimizing processes, managing resources, and ensuring efficient business operations

Please note that these are just a few examples, and the possibilities are vast. The specific career path you choose may depend on your interests, specialization, and additional qualifications you may acquire. Discover more paths with our resource, "Different Types of Business Degrees and Career Paths."

Typically, bachelor’s programs require 120 credit hours, which translates to four years of full-time study for most students. At UMass Global, we believe our adult students bring valuable college credits to the table. That’s why we’ve created options for completing your Instructor-Paced BBA more quickly.

  • Generous Credit Transfer Policy — We have a flexible transfer policy that allows you to transfer up to 90 credits from previous college coursework. That's up to 75% of the qualifying credits needed for your bachelor's degree!
  • Multiple Starts per Year — UMass Global offers six start dates annually, so you can begin your studies whenever it works best for you. This flexibility also helps when scheduling required courses.
  • Accelerated Options — By taking two classes per session, you can potentially complete your BBA quicker than the traditional four-year timeframe.

So, while the national standard suggests a four-year completion time, at UMass Global, your BBA could be closer than you think!
