Dr. Keith Larick is a retired superintendent having served in Placentia/Yorba Linda Unified, Sacramento City Unified and Tracy Unified school districts for more than 20 years. In addition, Dr. Larick has been the president of Vistar Technologies, vice president of Emaginos, Inc. and has served on the boards of numerous technology companies. Dr. Larick has more than 30 years’ experience working in doctoral programs and chairing dissertation research. Currently Dr. Larick is the chair of the University of Massachusetts Global doctoral program.
Dr. Larick has served as a consultant to more than 300 businesses (IBM, ACER, DEC, Apple, NASA) and educational organizations focusing on leadership, transformational change, futures, technology and schools of the future. Under Dr. Larick’s leadership the nation’s first classroom of the future was developed in partnership with AT&T, IBM and NIEU.
Dr. Larick has been recognized by the Association of California School Administrators with the Exemplary Service Award and Region 7 Superintendent of the Year. Keith is listed in the Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in America. He has received special recognitions that include Boys & Girls Club of America, Man and Youth award; Special Olympics Courage Award; California School Master Award; California Senate, Educational Technology Award; and Southern Counties Women in Education Management, “Mentor” of the Year.
Dr. Larick’s publications include Eight Tasks for Superintendents of the 90s, The Education Digest; Can School Leadership Transform - To Face the Future?, The School Administrator; Classrooms of the Future, The Futurist. Dr. Larick is the author of the book Doing Something About Educational Failure, Information/Education Press.
