Biography

As a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Assistant Professor Milstein has had the pleasure of providing care for patients in both her personally owned practice and addiction programs, as well as several other community based settings. She started teaching as an adjunct faculty in 2006.  After discovering online teaching, she increased her teaching work load while continuing to maintain a clinical practice and build her skills as a practitioner/instructor.  She is looking forward to expanding services in the psychiatric mental health program, teaching new courses, mentoring doctoral students all while continuing to maintain a clinical practice.  The online program format allows her to remain in Florida where her practice is and travel to visit her children and grandchildren.
